Successful issuances of Sukuk Al-Ijarah securities
The Ministry of Finance announced recently the successful pricing of its 44th and 45th issuances of short-term Sukuk Al-Ijarah securities, according to a press release.The accumulated total of these two issuances was $58 million, $25 million for Series 44 and $33 million for Series 45.

Series 44 carries a maturity of 91 days with a rental rate of 0.30 per cent, which began on April 29 and will mature on July 29. Meanwhile, Series 45 also has a maturity of 91 days, which began on May 20 and will mature on August 19, with a rental rate of 0.30 per cent.

With these issuances, the government has thus far issued over $2.1 billion worth of short-term Sukuk Al-Ijarah securities since the maiden offering on April 6, 2006.


Anyone understand about this sukuk things?

i been asking around a lot.. no one seems to know much… it is about investing or you borrow money? and what does the rental rate means… 0.30% rate
